My goal is to help your life as much as I can over the next decade.
This class used to be the most important class to adding value to the economy.
At the moment I'm not as sure as I used to be about that. For the last 20 years anyone who just knows javascript was super employable. Right now, that is NOT the economic reality. It's more complex.
At first I was a little sad about that.
But I've come around.
This class is cool as shit.
The things you learn ARE ALWAYS important.
It WILL make you more useful to this world.
It will also allow you to SHIP COOL THINGS.
The world is changing, and yes, AI can code a lot of this stuff for you now. But AI can code this stuff well because it's the canvas on which our modern world is built.
Knowing how the internet works and how software is shipped and companies build their architectures is valuable.
Knowing how to deploy real things for real people is valuable.
You'll just need this AND something personal about you. Knowing this stuff is important, it's presumed.
But you ALSO have to know what your unique gifts are and how to express them on this canvas.
So the course will feel a little different as we all navigate the changing landscape. But I'm happy to be a small part of your journey.
